Diplomata con lode in Igiene Dentale presso l’Università degli studi di Siena (1995) e laureata in Igiene Dentale presso l’Università degli studi di Genova (2006), ho conseguito un master in Igiene Orale presso la Forsyth University di Boston (1996). Socio attivo SIdP da diversi anni e coordinatrice generale del progetto Study Club igienisti dentali (2018 e 2019). Sono libera professionista dal 1995 e collaboro presso lo studio del Dott. F. Cairo dal 2008.

Laureato con Lode presso l’Università degli Studi di Padova (2015), nel 2020 ho conseguito il Master di I livello in Igiene Orale ad indirizzo Parodontale presso l’Istituto Stomatologico Toscano.
Sono revisore per la rivista scientifica “International Journal of Dental Hygiene”. Attualmente sto frequentando il Master of Science in Dental Hygiene presso la University College London e lavoro come libero professionista in provincia di Vicenza. 

Sarah Crow started in the dental industry in 2004. She has earned numerous awards throughout her education and career as a Dental Hygienist. To name a few, Sarah was voted the 2021 “Massachusetts Dental Society, Hygienist of the Year.” And was most recently voted the 2024 “Research Hygienist of The Year” by the Massachusetts Dental Hygienists’ Association. Sarah is a recent Past-President, of The Massachusetts Dental Hygienists’ Association. She is also a Senior Executive Consultant for Cellerant Consulting Group and a United States Trainer for The Swiss Dental Academy, in the field of Guided Biofilm Therapy with EMS Dental. She presents educational content both virtually and in-person, to dental professionals across the country. Sarah enjoys working chairside with patients in Salem, MA where she is given the opportunity to exhibit her passion for helping others to improve their oral and overall health.

Mya CHOUFANI es una odontóloga suizo-estadounidense altamente dedicada y exitosa que vive en Madrid, España, donde abrió su consulta privada “Clinica CLOE” con la misión de cambiar la forma en que se brinda la atención a la salud oral a los pacientes, especialmente a los niños y mujeres en épocas de pubertad, embarazo y menopausia.

Mya estudió en NYU College of Dentistry, donde obtuvo su título de DDS (doctor of dental surgery), antes de asistir a Mount Sinai School of Medicine para su Residencia en Práctica General. Mya ha podido ejercer en Europa después de mudarse a Madrid al asistir a La Universidad Europea para obtener su Licenciatura en Odontología.

En 2009, se convirtió en la entrenadora fundadora del Swiss Dental Academy (EMS) en España. Desde entonces, ha impartido muchos cursos sobre la tecnología Piezon, la gestión del biofilm y ahora sobre el Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT).

Debido a su amor por la enseñanza y por trabajar con niños, desarrolló un programa llamado “CLOE Smiles for Madrid”, donde dona su tiempo a través de escuelas, grupos, asociaciones etc. a enseñar a los niños la importancia de tener una boca sana a traves de una buena higiene oral.

Theresa hat 2009 ihre Ausbildung zur ZFA abgeschlossen. Nach einigen Jahren in der Zahnärztlichen Assistenz und Abrechnung, legte sie die Weiterbildung zur ZMF ab. Seit 2012 ist Theresa als Hauptverantwortliche für den Bereich Prophylaxe in der Praxis tätig. Ihr war immer klar, dass sie noch mehr Verantwortung übernehmen und ihr Wissen im Bereich Prophylaxe und Parodontologie festigen möchte. Im Jahr 2019 begann Sie ihr Studium „Dentalhygiene und Präventionsmanagement“, welches sie im Jahr 2021 mit dem Titel „Bachelor of Science Dentalhygiene“ abschloss. Den Höhepunkt ihrer Karriere bildet die Trainertätigkeit bei der SDA. Während des Studiums kam sie mit der Guided Biofilm Therapie® in Berührung, seitdem hat sie diese in ihrem Praxisalltag vollständig integriert. Die Faszination der GBT setzt sich für sie aus mehreren Faktoren zusammen. Die Individualität durch das Anfärben erleichtert die Kommunikation mit den Patienten. Was der Patient visuell wahrnimmt, kann er besser verstehen. Hinzu kommt die Wahrnehmung der Patienten, die die GBT als deutlich angenehmer empfinden als die Prophylaxesitzungen von „früher“. Zufriedene Patienten sind der Grundstein für einen erfolgreichen Recall.

"Nel 2016 mi sono laureata presso l'Università degli Studi di Siena con tesi: “La terapia fotodinamica nel trattamento delle mucositi nei pazienti portatori di protesi totali ancorate su impianti”. Durante questi anni ho individuato i miei maggiori ambiti di interesse, focalizzando lo studio sulla terapia Parodontale non chirurgia.

Nel 2018 ho conseguito la laurea magistrale in Scienze delle Professioni Sanitarie Tecnico Assistenziali presso l'Università La Sapienza di Roma. Durante questi anni ho ampliato la mia formazione spaziando dal diritto all’economia presentando così una tesi con impronta giuridica dal titolo: “L’igienista dentale tra subordinazione e libera professione”.
Dal 2019 ho svolto il Master di I livello in Igiene Orale ad Indirizzo Parodontale Estetico ed Ortodontico in collaborazione con la Fondazione Istituto Stomatologico Toscano con tesi: “Malattia Parodontale e problematiche sistemiche: una correlazione pericolosa?”.
Nel 2020 ho intrapreso il master di Patologia Orale presso la Dental School di Torino presentando come caso clinico: “Herpes Virus: Manifestazioni Intraorale"". Ho cercato di affinare il mio bagaglio che sentivo carente su tutto ciò che interessava le patologie delle mucose gengivali non indotte da placca batterica.

Ad oggi, sono iscritta regolarmente all’Albo degli Igienisti e faccio parte del mondo EMS dal 2018."

ayyaba Fiaz is a highly accomplished dental hygienist and community leader. A 2008 graduate of Cégep John Abbott College, she earned the Procter & Gamble Community Dental Hygiene Award and Excellence in Restorative Dentistry Award. Tayyaba also holds a B.Sc. degree and has extensive experience as an RDH in Ontario and Quebec. She currently works as a clinician and hygiene coordinator in a general dental practice, leading a team of eight RDHs. As a pioneer in technology, she introduced Airflow Master Prophylaxis and Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) at her clinic, improving appointment efficiency and patient satisfaction. In addition, she owns a mobile dental hygiene practice, launched in 2021, offering personalized care directly to clients. Tayyaba’s commitment to community care is evident in her organization of large-scale dental outreach clinics across Quebec, with over 55 volunteers. These initiatives have garnered significant media attention. She also serves as an elected Director for the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA) and a representative for the International Federation of Dental Hygienists (IFDH). Tayyaba is an instructor at Oulton College's Faculty of Dental Hygiene. Nach meinem Abschluss zur Zahnarzthelferin 1998 habe ich mich für den Bereich Prophylaxe entschieden. Selbstständiges Arbeiten macht mir Spaß, und so ging mein Weg über ZMP zur DH weiter. Als ich die Leitung einer Prophylaxe Abteilung übernahm, machte ich noch eine Weiterbildung zur Prophylaxe Managerin der IHK. Um meine Patienten intensiver unterstützen zu können, entschied ich mich noch die Weiterbildung zur dentalen Ernährungsberaterin zu absolvieren. Neben meiner Tätigkeit als GBT Trainerin der SDA bin ich in Teilzeit in München als DH angestellt. Somit dreht sich mein berufliches Leben um Zähne und GBT. Ich bin ein großer GBT Fan, weil es ein Benefit für Patient und Behandler ist. Und wenn ich nicht mit der Zahngesundheit beschäftigt bin, dann sitze ich auf dem Fahrrad und genieße die Natur. 

Im Jahr 2007 begann sie ihre Ausbildung als Zahnmedizinische Fachangestellte (ZFA). Bereits während ihrer Ausbildung wurde ihr bewusst, dass sie in dieser Berufsspate eine höhere Qualifikation anstreben möchte. Nachdem Sie ihre Ausbildung im Jahr 2010 erfolgreich abgeschlossen hatte, absolvierte sie, neben ihrer Tätigkeit als ZFA ihre Fachhochschulreife über ein Abendgymnasium in zwei Jahren.

Im Oktober 2019 erlangte Sie nach zweijährigem dualem Studium (Dentalhygiene und Präventionsmanagement) mit sehr gutem Abschluss den akademischen Titel „Dentalhygienikerin Bachelor of Science“.

Neben Ihrer beruflichen Haupttätigkeit als DH B.Sc und GBT-Trainerin ist sie als externe Dozentin an der EUFH Köln für den Studiengang Dentalhygiene und Präventionsmanagement tätig.

In dem Berufsbild einer ausgebildeten Prophylaxe-Fachkraft stehen nicht nur Maßnahmen zur Behandlung von Erkrankungen des Zahnhalteapparates und der Zahnhartsubstanz im Vordergrund, sondern die Aufrechterhaltung der Mundgesundheit und allgemeinen Gesundheit durch gezielte Maßnahmen in der zahnmedizinischen Prophylaxe.
