Laureata con 110 e lode in Igiene Dentale presso l'Università degli Studi dell'Insubria, Varese, nel 2011. Ho conseguito il Master di I livello in "Nutrizione clinica e dietetica applicata" presso l'Università Politecnica delle Marche nel 2013. Attualmente lavoro presso lo Studio Odontoiatrico Toia a Busto Arsizio e Milano e presso lo studio Luoni a Cassano Magnago. Ho frequentato numerosi corsi di aggiornamento tra cui: Corso Annuale in Parodontologia (SIdP) con la Dott.ssa Silvia Masiero, il Master in Igiene dentale: "Il ruolo dell'Igienista dentale nel trattamento del paziente parodontale" con il Dott. Carlo Ghezzi e il corso “The Game Changer” con la Dott.ssa Magda Mensi.

Theresa hat 2009 ihre Ausbildung zur ZFA abgeschlossen. Nach einigen Jahren in der Zahnärztlichen Assistenz und Abrechnung, legte sie die Weiterbildung zur ZMF ab. Seit 2012 ist Theresa als Hauptverantwortliche für den Bereich Prophylaxe in der Praxis tätig. Ihr war immer klar, dass sie noch mehr Verantwortung übernehmen und ihr Wissen im Bereich Prophylaxe und Parodontologie festigen möchte. Im Jahr 2019 begann Sie ihr Studium „Dentalhygiene und Präventionsmanagement“, welches sie im Jahr 2021 mit dem Titel „Bachelor of Science Dentalhygiene“ abschloss. Den Höhepunkt ihrer Karriere bildet die Trainertätigkeit bei der SDA. Während des Studiums kam sie mit der Guided Biofilm Therapie® in Berührung, seitdem hat sie diese in ihrem Praxisalltag vollständig integriert. Die Faszination der GBT setzt sich für sie aus mehreren Faktoren zusammen. Die Individualität durch das Anfärben erleichtert die Kommunikation mit den Patienten. Was der Patient visuell wahrnimmt, kann er besser verstehen. Hinzu kommt die Wahrnehmung der Patienten, die die GBT als deutlich angenehmer empfinden als die Prophylaxesitzungen von „früher“. Zufriedene Patienten sind der Grundstein für einen erfolgreichen Recall.

Michelle Steiner BSDH, RDH has been dedicated to advancing oral health and supporting fellow dental professionals since beginning her career in 1995. After earning her CDA, she completed her dental hygiene degree in 2000 and spent 24 of the last 25 years as the sole RDH in a periodontal practice, where she developed a deep passion for periodontal care, patient relationships, and clinical excellence. She completed her BSDH in 2025 from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with an emphasis in education. Since June 2022, she has served as a U.S. SDA Trainer, and in June 2024, she expanded her role as a Success Coach. In addition to her coaching and training work, she provides dental hygiene services in nursing homes and volunteers her time with Mission of Mercy and her local food pantry, efforts that reflect her strong commitment to giving back and caring for her community. "Nel 2016 mi sono laureata presso l'Università degli Studi di Siena con tesi: “La terapia fotodinamica nel trattamento delle mucositi nei pazienti portatori di protesi totali ancorate su impianti”. Durante questi anni ho individuato i miei maggiori ambiti di interesse, focalizzando lo studio sulla terapia Parodontale non chirurgia.

Nel 2018 ho conseguito la laurea magistrale in Scienze delle Professioni Sanitarie Tecnico Assistenziali presso l'Università La Sapienza di Roma. Durante questi anni ho ampliato la mia formazione spaziando dal diritto all’economia presentando così una tesi con impronta giuridica dal titolo: “L’igienista dentale tra subordinazione e libera professione”.
Dal 2019 ho svolto il Master di I livello in Igiene Orale ad Indirizzo Parodontale Estetico ed Ortodontico in collaborazione con la Fondazione Istituto Stomatologico Toscano con tesi: “Malattia Parodontale e problematiche sistemiche: una correlazione pericolosa?”.
Nel 2020 ho intrapreso il master di Patologia Orale presso la Dental School di Torino presentando come caso clinico: “Herpes Virus: Manifestazioni Intraorale"". Ho cercato di affinare il mio bagaglio che sentivo carente su tutto ciò che interessava le patologie delle mucose gengivali non indotte da placca batterica.

Ad oggi, sono iscritta regolarmente all’Albo degli Igienisti e faccio parte del mondo EMS dal 2018."

Leonora Costello is a licensed dental hygienist, educator, and Master of Healthcare Administration candidate dedicated to advancing oral health through innovation, equity, and strategic collaboration. With both an associate and bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene, she blends clinical expertise with a broader public health perspective to drive meaningful change in patient care and professional education. Nach meinem Abschluss zur Zahnarzthelferin 1998 habe ich mich für den Bereich Prophylaxe entschieden. Selbstständiges Arbeiten macht mir Spaß, und so ging mein Weg über ZMP zur DH weiter. Als ich die Leitung einer Prophylaxe Abteilung übernahm, machte ich noch eine Weiterbildung zur Prophylaxe Managerin der IHK. Um meine Patienten intensiver unterstützen zu können, entschied ich mich noch die Weiterbildung zur dentalen Ernährungsberaterin zu absolvieren. Neben meiner Tätigkeit als GBT Trainerin der SDA bin ich in Teilzeit in München als DH angestellt. Somit dreht sich mein berufliches Leben um Zähne und GBT. Ich bin ein großer GBT Fan, weil es ein Benefit für Patient und Behandler ist. Und wenn ich nicht mit der Zahngesundheit beschäftigt bin, dann sitze ich auf dem Fahrrad und genieße die Natur. 

Jolene Pinder is a dental hygienist based at The Dental Health Spa in Brighton. She qualified as a dental hygienist in the Royal Navy in 2001. After leaving the military she has worked in various practices throughout the UK. Jolene has a special interest in behavioural change and she has used this to inspire and educate fellow dental professionals. She has been a Swiss dental academy trainer since 2013 and teaches in the UK on Guided biofilm therapy. She had articles published on tooth whitening, making hygiene treatment profitable and implant maintenance.
