Mein Studium zur dipl. Dentalhygienikerin HF in Zürich, welches ich 2017 abgeschlossen habe, hat mir gezeigt, wie bedeutend wissenschaftliches Arbeiten in der Zahnmedizin ist. Daher kommt auch mein Interesse evidenzbasiert zu arbeiten, Dinge zu hinterfragen und immer breit zu sein neue Wege zu gehen. Die GBT vereint all das, wonach ich immer gesucht habe. Ich erlebe täglich im Praxisalltag, wie viel orale Prävention bei Patienten wirklich bewirken kann. Daran stetig weiterzuarbeiten und gleichzeitig an diesem Erfolgen beteiligt zu sein ist ein großartiges Gefühl und treibt mich an.

Mya CHOUFANI es una odontóloga suizo-estadounidense altamente dedicada y exitosa que vive en Madrid, España, donde abrió su consulta privada “Clinica CLOE” con la misión de cambiar la forma en que se brinda la atención a la salud oral a los pacientes, especialmente a los niños y mujeres en épocas de pubertad, embarazo y menopausia.

Mya estudió en NYU College of Dentistry, donde obtuvo su título de DDS (doctor of dental surgery), antes de asistir a Mount Sinai School of Medicine para su Residencia en Práctica General. Mya ha podido ejercer en Europa después de mudarse a Madrid al asistir a La Universidad Europea para obtener su Licenciatura en Odontología.

En 2009, se convirtió en la entrenadora fundadora del Swiss Dental Academy (EMS) en España. Desde entonces, ha impartido muchos cursos sobre la tecnología Piezon, la gestión del biofilm y ahora sobre el Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT).

Debido a su amor por la enseñanza y por trabajar con niños, desarrolló un programa llamado “CLOE Smiles for Madrid”, donde dona su tiempo a través de escuelas, grupos, asociaciones etc. a enseñar a los niños la importancia de tener una boca sana a traves de una buena higiene oral.

Odontotecnico con diploma professionale presso Ospedale George Eastman a Roma, ho conseguito la laurea in Igiene Dentale con Lode e Master biennale in Medicine Naturali con Lode presso l’Università di Tor Vergata a Roma. Sono un libero professionista, opinion leader linea oralcare Forhans dal 2015, GBT Trainer dal 2019 e opinion leader Pola SDI sbiancamenti dal 2020. Ideatore del protocollo con Lattoferrina per il controllo delle recidive delle Black Stain.

Binta Visser ist eine engagierte und erfahrene Fachkraft im Bereich der Zahnmedizin, die seit 2020 die SDA mit ihrem fundierten Wissen und ihren Fähigkeiten unterstützt. Ihre Reise in die Welt der Zahnmedizin begann 2011, als sie während ihrer Ausbildung zur Zahnmedizinischen Fachangestellten (ZFA) einen Kurs der SDA besuchte. Begeistert von den neuen Erkenntnissen und dem erlangten Wissen entschied sie sich, ebenfalls für die SDA tätig zu werden.

Nach dem Abschluss ihrer Ausbildung zur ZFA erweiterte Binta ihre Qualifikationen durch eine Weiterbildung zur Zahnmedizinischen Prophylaxeassistentin (ZMP) und absolvierte anschließend den Bachelor-Studiengang in Dentalhygiene und Präventionsmanagement. Ihre umfassende Ausbildung und ihr Engagement für die Zahnmedizin machen sie zu einer wertvollen Ressource für Praxiskurse.

Binta hat in mehreren Zahnarztpraxen mit unterschiedlichen Schwerpunkten, darunter Kinderzahnheilkunde, Ästhetik und Oralchirurgie, gearbeitet. Diese vielfältige Erfahrung ermöglicht es ihr, die Praxiskurse besonders kompetent zu betreuen und auf die individuellen Bedürfnisse der Teilnehmer einzugehen.

Ein besonderes Augenmerk legt Binta auf die Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), die nicht nur evidenzbasiert und minimalinvasiv ist, sondern auch ein maximal präventives Behandlungskonzept ist. Diese Methode sorgt nicht nur für eine angenehmere Behandlung für die Patienten, sondern erleichtert auch den Behandlern die Arbeit, macht sie effektiver und bringt viel Freude mit sich.

Leonora Costello is a licensed dental hygienist, educator, and Master of Healthcare Administration candidate dedicated to advancing oral health through innovation, equity, and strategic collaboration. With both an associate and bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene, she blends clinical expertise with a broader public health perspective to drive meaningful change in patient care and professional education. Leonora serves as a Swiss Dental Academy Trainer with EMS Dental, where she partners with clinicians and academic institutions nationwide to implement Guided Biofilm Therapy using the AirFlow Prophylaxis Master device. In addition to her training and consulting work, she provides clinical care at East Carolina University, working directly with underserved populations to reduce disparities and improve access to preventive services.  Currently pursuing her MHA, Leonora is focused on healthcare leadership, process innovation, and sustainable improvements in dental education. Whether she's leading hands-on workshops, mentoring future providers, or building institutional partnerships, she brings energy, empathy, and a commitment to collaborative growth.

Mi sono laureata in Igiene dentale nel 2008 a Trieste. Da quel momento la passione per il lavoro mi ha portato a frequentare costantemente corsi di aggiornamento specifici, in particolare dedicati alle nuove tecnologie di cui sono appassionata. Nel 2021 ho partecipato al Corso di Perfezionamento in Leadership in medicina presso l’Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore di Roma. Lavoro in diversi studi odontoiatrici di Trieste con passione ed estrema cura per i pazienti.

Credo fortemente nella GBT come il miglior approccio nella terapia parodontale non chirurgica.

Laureata con Lode in Igiene Dentale all’Università di Ferrara nel 2005, ho frequentato il Master di Coordinamento delle Professioni Sanitarie e sto concludendo la laurea Magistrale in Scienze della Nutrizione Umana. Nel tempo libero collaboro con IRC per diffondere le manovre di Basic Life Support, tengo corsi di formazione per ASO e sono Presidente d’Albo Igienisti Dentali e Consigliere d’Ordine a Ferrara. Collaboro con l’Università come membro della commissione di Laurea, come componente della commissione del riesame del corso di Laurea e in passato come docente a contratto. Tutt’ora mantengo la carica di vice-presidente di associazione di categoria UNID dell’Emilia Romagna. Dal 2019 collaboro con EMS come GBT Trainer e dal 2022 come GBT Expert.

Yemia White, BSDH, began her career in dentistry as a Certified Dental Assistant. Demonstrating an early passion for patient care—and encouraged by her employer-dentist to advance her education—she earned a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Clayton State University in 2004 With experience in both public and private healthcare settings, Yemia has provided care to patients representing a wide range of cultures, religions, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. She currently practices in a multidisciplinary setting specializing in periodontics and prosthodontics. In her role as a Professional Dental Hygienist, she is dedicated to preventing oral disease and delivering effective treatment when needed. Yemia considers the Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) protocol essential to implant, periodontal, and preventive maintenance. Her strong understanding of the oral–systemic health connection continually motivates her to deliver the highest standard of care to her patients. She is a published author for RDH Magazine and a guest contributor to the blog series How Do You Speak Salivary Diagnostics? Her professional speaking engagements on preventive maintenance for full-arch, fixed implant dentistry include presentations for DentalXP and A Higher Learning, LLC. As a Swiss Dental Academy Trainer, she enjoys supporting dental practices as they adopt the GBT protocol as their standard of care.

ayyaba Fiaz is a highly accomplished dental hygienist and community leader. A 2008 graduate of Cégep John Abbott College, she earned the Procter & Gamble Community Dental Hygiene Award and Excellence in Restorative Dentistry Award. Tayyaba also holds a B.Sc. degree and has extensive experience as an RDH in Ontario and Quebec. She currently works as a clinician and hygiene coordinator in a general dental practice, leading a team of eight RDHs. As a pioneer in technology, she introduced Airflow Master Prophylaxis and Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) at her clinic, improving appointment efficiency and patient satisfaction. In addition, she owns a mobile dental hygiene practice, launched in 2021, offering personalized care directly to clients. Tayyaba’s commitment to community care is evident in her organization of large-scale dental outreach clinics across Quebec, with over 55 volunteers. These initiatives have garnered significant media attention. She also serves as an elected Director for the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA) and a representative for the International Federation of Dental Hygienists (IFDH). Tayyaba is an instructor at Oulton College's Faculty of Dental Hygiene. Outside her professional responsibilities, Tayyaba enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, and taking long walks on sunny days.
