Amanda has a passion for dentistry and in 2008 became one of the first UK Swiss Academy Trainers for EMS. She has given many courses on Piezon technology, Biofilm management and Guided Biofilm therapy. (GBT). Amanda is the Immediate Past President of the British Association of Dental Therapists.

She became a hygienist in 1996 where she qualified from Manchester Dental school and then after spells in Specialist practice and the hospital service, taught Dental Hygiene at Sheffield dental school and then moved to Kings College Dental Institute in London.

Amanda has lectured nationally and internationally and talks on various topics. These include :- Behavioural change, Periodontal screening, Implant maintenance, fluoride varnish application for nurses, Impression taking, Biofilm theory/ GBT and Caries risk assessment.

Amanda completed and published research on the subject of Nursing Assistance for the Dental Hygienist in 2011. She completed a tutor’s conversion to Dental therapy in 2012 and became President elect of the British Association of Dental therapists in 2015.

She is an MSC student at King’s College London reading Advanced Minimal Intervention Dentistry.

Amanda presently works part time for Leicester Community dental services as a Therapist, treating anxious children and Special needs patients. She also works for Bupa Dental care in Stamford, Lincolnshire and lectures part time.

Amanda sits on the Bupa Dental Care Clinical advisory board and is a member of the BSDHT and BADT.

Djekic, Bozana M.Sc., B.Sc. ist eine engagierte Dentalhygieniekerin und begeisterte GBT- Trainerin aus Österreich. Im Jahr 2003 schloss sie in Graz ihr Diplom in Parodontologie und Prophylaxe ab. Um ihre Fachkenntnisse zu vertiefen, absolvierte sie einen Universitätslehrgang in Köln und erwarb den Bachelor in Dentalhygiene und Präventionsmanagement. Zusätzlich erweiterte sie ihr Wissen mit einem Masterstudium in Health Care Management, spezialisiert auf Pharma Management. Als engagierte Dentalhygienikerin entdeckte sie ihre Begeisterung für die Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT). Ihr Fokus liegt besonders darauf, den Vorteil der GBT mit Liebe und Humor zu vermitteln. Es ist ihr ein großes Anliegen, die GBT-Therapie in Österreich zu etablieren. Ihre Leidenschaft ist es, als Trainerin tätig zu sein, die GBT in wissenschaftlichen Projekten und an Universitäten zu lehren sowie in der Ausbildung von Dentalhygieniker*innen  zu vermitteln. Sie schätzt den Austausch mit Menschen, die ebenso Freude und Enthusiasmus für Innovationen teilen.

Leonora Costello is a licensed dental hygienist, educator, and Master of Healthcare Administration candidate dedicated to advancing oral health through innovation, equity, and strategic collaboration. With both an associate and bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene, she blends clinical expertise with a broader public health perspective to drive meaningful change in patient care and professional education. Leonora serves as a Swiss Dental Academy Trainer with EMS Dental, where she partners with clinicians and academic institutions nationwide to implement Guided Biofilm Therapy using the AirFlow Prophylaxis Master device. In addition to her training and consulting work, she provides clinical care at East Carolina University, working directly with underserved populations to reduce disparities and improve access to preventive services.  Currently pursuing her MHA, Leonora is focused on healthcare leadership, process innovation, and sustainable improvements in dental education. Whether she's leading hands-on workshops, mentoring future providers, or building institutional partnerships, she brings energy, empathy, and a commitment to collaborative growth.

Benjamin qualified from Newcastle University in 2011 as a dental therapist. He holds additional qualifications, BSc (Hons) and MA Education.

He splits his time between teaching at the Eastman Dental Hospital, and clinical practice at Clinic 95, Oxford.

His combined interests in education and disease prevention align well with the Guided Biofilm Therapy process and the delivery of GBT masterclasses.

He is a member of the Faculty of Dental Trainers, Association of Medical Educators and a fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Dentalhygienikerin Veronika ist eine passionierte GBT Anwenderin, weshalb sie diese Begeisterung als GBT Trainerin in Praxistrainings weitergibt. Für Veronika selbst ist das oberste Ziel, ihre Patient*innen auf dem höchsten Niveau zu betreuen und andere Fachkräfte zu diesem hohen Niveau zu motivieren. Aus diesem Grund ging sie den Weg der Dentalhygienikerin und absolvierte 2019-2021 das Bachelorstudium Dentalhygiene und Präventionsmanagement in Köln und ist seitdem auch für die Ausbildung angehender zahnmedizinischer Prophylaxeassistent*innen und Dentalhygieniker*innen in einem Fortbildungsinstitut tätig.  Um das Fachwissen stets aufrecht zu erhalten und immer auf dem neusten Stand der Wissenschaft zu bleiben, besucht sie selbst gerne Fort- und Weiterbildungen in allen Bereichen rund um die Zahnmedizin.

Claire is proud to be one of the UK SDA training team and works in private practice in Leeds, carrying out Guided Biofilm Therapy on her own patients daily. Not only does she teach all things GBT on courses and in practice, she is also a key opinion leader and/or ambassador for well known dental brands, as well as writing numerous articles for industry/consumer press titles and public speaking. She is extremely passionate about her profession, oral health and prevention.

Fabio Angelini si laurea con lode nel 2013 all’Università Alma Mater Studiorum di Bologna, dopo un periodo di perfezionamento trascorso all’estero, in Olanda, per completare la ricerca scientifica finalizzata alla sua tesi di Laurea in Parodontologia. Dal 2013 collabora come Libero Professionista presso vari sudi odontoiatrici privati in provincia di Rimini (Emilia-Romagna). Nel 2014 vince il Premio Cagidiaco indetto dalla Società Italiana di Parodontolgia (SIdP) con il miglior poster presentato da un Igienista Dentale. Nel 2014 diventa iTOP Teacher specializzandosi nelle tecniche di educazione igienica attraverso il metodo “Individually Trained Oral Prophylaxis”. Nel 2018 diventa iTOP Lecturer per l’Italia e l’Europa e da allora tiene corsi nazionali ed internazionali di tecniche iTOP per Studenti, Igienisti Dentali e Odontoiatri. Ramona lebt in Bad Bentheim und begann ihre berufliche Laufbahn 1998 mit der Ausbildung zur Zahnarzthelferin. Nach ihrer Weiterbildung zur Zahnmedizinischen Prophylaxeassistentin (ZMP) im Jahr 2003 entschloss sie sich, ihr Wissen durch das Studium zur Dentalhygienikerin B.Sc. zu vertiefen, dass sie im Jahr 2024 abschließen konnte. Die Entscheidung, Dentalhygienikerin zu werden, kam aus der Leidenschaft Patienten dabei zu helfen, ihre Mundgesundheit zu fördern. Besonders fasziniert sie die Guided Biofilm Therapie (GBT), da sie innovative Ansätze in der Zahnmedizin vereint und Patienten eine schonende sowie effiziente Behandlung bietet. In ihrer Freizeit praktiziert Ramona gerne Yoga und genießt entspannende Spaziergänge mit ihrem Hund. Sie ist zudem großer Fußballfan und verfolgt begeistert die Spiele ihrer Söhne sowie die Partien des SV Werder Bremen im Weserstadion.

"Nel 2016 mi sono laureata presso l'Università degli Studi di Siena con tesi: “La terapia fotodinamica nel trattamento delle mucositi nei pazienti portatori di protesi totali ancorate su impianti”. Durante questi anni ho individuato i miei maggiori ambiti di interesse, focalizzando lo studio sulla terapia Parodontale non chirurgia.

Nel 2018 ho conseguito la laurea magistrale in Scienze delle Professioni Sanitarie Tecnico Assistenziali presso l'Università La Sapienza di Roma. Durante questi anni ho ampliato la mia formazione spaziando dal diritto all’economia presentando così una tesi con impronta giuridica dal titolo: “L’igienista dentale tra subordinazione e libera professione”.
Dal 2019 ho svolto il Master di I livello in Igiene Orale ad Indirizzo Parodontale Estetico ed Ortodontico in collaborazione con la Fondazione Istituto Stomatologico Toscano con tesi: “Malattia Parodontale e problematiche sistemiche: una correlazione pericolosa?”.
Nel 2020 ho intrapreso il master di Patologia Orale presso la Dental School di Torino presentando come caso clinico: “Herpes Virus: Manifestazioni Intraorale"". Ho cercato di affinare il mio bagaglio che sentivo carente su tutto ciò che interessava le patologie delle mucose gengivali non indotte da placca batterica.

Ad oggi, sono iscritta regolarmente all’Albo degli Igienisti e faccio parte del mondo EMS dal 2018."

Pam has an impressive and progressive career in dentistry, spanning over four decades. She began her journey in the field as a dental assistant at the age of 16, a role she held for 16 years. In 2001, she became a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). Her commitment to advanced preventative care led her to become licensed as an independent dental hygienist (IPDH) in Maine in 2010. This allowed her to practice in both private settings and her own solo preventive practice. In 2021, Pam established the Searsmont Oral Wellness Center, where she champions her unique approach to optimal preventative care. Her practice has flourished by incorporating cutting-edge technologies like microscopy, laser therapies, salivary diagnostics, and the Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) compass. Patients appreciate her laid-back yet informative style, which educates them while delivering patient-focused care. Beyond her practice, Pam is a certified GBT trainer for EMS, a role that enables her to connect with other forward-thinking professionals across the United States. When she's not traveling for her training work, she enjoys her home, family, and friends in Mid-Coast Maine.
