Laureata con lode in Igiene Dentale nel 2019 presso l’Università di Napoli “Federico II”, dove ho poi proseguito gli studi conseguendo la Laurea Magistrale in Professioni Sanitarie Tecniche. Ho inoltre completato il mio percorso accademico con un Master Universitario di I livello in “Gestione della salute orale nel paziente parodontale e Special Needs”. Lavoro come libera professionista presso diversi studi odontoiatrici nelle province di Napoli e Caserta e, dal 2022, collaboro con EMS come GBT Trainer. Credo fortemente nel protocollo GBT, ogni paziente dovrebbe poter vivere un’esperienza positiva, innovativa e confortevole. Nei miei corsi unisco conoscenze scientifiche, tecnica e passione. Amanda has a passion for dentistry and in 2008 became one of the first UK Swiss Academy Trainers for EMS. She has given many courses on Piezon technology, Biofilm management and Guided Biofilm therapy. (GBT). Amanda is the Immediate Past President of the British Association of Dental Therapists.

She became a hygienist in 1996 where she qualified from Manchester Dental school and then after spells in Specialist practice and the hospital service, taught Dental Hygiene at Sheffield dental school and then moved to Kings College Dental Institute in London.

Amanda has lectured nationally and internationally and talks on various topics. These include :- Behavioural change, Periodontal screening, Implant maintenance, fluoride varnish application for nurses, Impression taking, Biofilm theory/ GBT and Caries risk assessment.

Amanda completed and published research on the subject of Nursing Assistance for the Dental Hygienist in 2011. She completed a tutor’s conversion to Dental therapy in 2012 and became President elect of the British Association of Dental therapists in 2015.

She is an MSC student at King’s College London reading Advanced Minimal Intervention Dentistry.

Amanda presently works part time for Leicester Community dental services as a Therapist, treating anxious children and Special needs patients. She also works for Bupa Dental care in Stamford, Lincolnshire and lectures part time.

Amanda sits on the Bupa Dental Care Clinical advisory board and is a member of the BSDHT and BADT.

Laureata con Lode in Igiene Dentale all’Università di Ferrara nel 2005, ho frequentato il Master di Coordinamento delle Professioni Sanitarie e sto concludendo la laurea Magistrale in Scienze della Nutrizione Umana. Nel tempo libero collaboro con IRC per diffondere le manovre di Basic Life Support, tengo corsi di formazione per ASO e sono Presidente d’Albo Igienisti Dentali e Consigliere d’Ordine a Ferrara. Collaboro con l’Università come membro della commissione di Laurea, come componente della commissione del riesame del corso di Laurea e in passato come docente a contratto. Tutt’ora mantengo la carica di vice-presidente di associazione di categoria UNID dell’Emilia Romagna. Dal 2019 collaboro con EMS come GBT Trainer e dal 2022 come GBT Expert.

Dr. Anna Seidel ist Oberärztin in der Abteilung für zahnärztliche Prothetik am Uniklinikum Erlangen der Friedrich-Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Ihr klinischer Schwerpunkt liegt auf der Perio-Prothetik, d.h. der prothetischen Rehabilitation parodontal kompromittierter Patienten. Dabei werden Therapieaspekte der Prothetik, Parodontologie und Implantologie kombiniert. Ihre Lehrtätigkeit beinhaltet die „Zahnmedizin des Alters“, die Implantatprothetik sowie die konventionelle zahnärztliche Prothetik im klinischen Studienabschnitt.

My work with EMS and Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) has reignited my passion for educating others and deepened my commitment to clinical excellence. I am driven by a love for continuous learning and strive to inspire fellow clinicians while advocating for innovative approaches to dental care.

Janelle Jones is a registered dental hygienist with 25 years of clinical experience. Growing up in a small town, she knew from the age of six that she wanted to pursue her dream of becoming a dental hygienist. She went to the University of Alberta to complete her Diploma of Dental Hygiene in 2000. She then continued her education by completing her Bachelor of Science with a Specialization in Dental Hygiene in 2001, also at the University of Alberta. Her career has been very fulfilling, as it has allowed her to improve the lives of her patients while building trusting relationships. She has been fortunate to work alongside many excellent clinicians. Continuing her education, such as training with Kois and becoming certified in laser and GBT she has continually evolved as a practitioner. With the skills and expertise gained over the years and aways wanting to master the best that the dental industry can oMer, Guided Biofilm Therapy was just what she was looking for. This changed her career, re-igniting her passion for dental hygiene. With its modern, systematic, scientific-based approach, she can now oMer the best clinical dental hygiene therapy while also providing a comfortable experience for her patients. Because GBT has upped her game as a dental hygienist, becoming an SDA Trainer and sharing the benefits of GBT with fellow clinicians is a natural next step.
