Leslie Ramsey, RDH, is a passionate and experienced dental hygienist with a strong commitment to advancing clinical excellence and patient care through education. As a GBT (Guided Biofilm Therapy) Education Specialist and lead of the United States Success Coaches, Leslie brings deep expertise in preventive dentistry, biofilm management, and minimally invasive hygiene protocols. With nearly 8,000 GBT treatments with her own patients in clinical practice, Leslie has consistently prioritized patient-centered care and the integration of evidence-based techniques. Her work as an educator and speaker focuses on empowering dental professionals with the tools and knowledge to implement GBT protocols effectively, enhance patient outcomes, and elevate the standard of care. Leslie is known for her engaging teaching style, practical insights, and dedication to fostering professional growth within the dental community. She is proud to be part of a global movement that’s transforming how we think about prevention, periodontal health, and the patient experience.

Laura Bailey graduated from Manchester University in 2013 as a Dental Therapist.

 

She not only came top in her year but she also won 2 awards for her final year case presentations and for being the best overall student of the year both clinically and academically.

 

She has worked in private practice since at 'The Richmond Dentist' where she treats patients who have become friends.

 

Amanda has a passion for dentistry and in 2008 became one of the first UK Swiss Academy Trainers for EMS. She has given many courses on Piezon technology, Biofilm management and Guided Biofilm therapy. (GBT). Amanda is the Immediate Past President of the British Association of Dental Therapists.

She became a hygienist in 1996 where she qualified from Manchester Dental school and then after spells in Specialist practice and the hospital service, taught Dental Hygiene at Sheffield dental school and then moved to Kings College Dental Institute in London.

Amanda has lectured nationally and internationally and talks on various topics. These include :- Behavioural change, Periodontal screening, Implant maintenance, fluoride varnish application for nurses, Impression taking, Biofilm theory/ GBT and Caries risk assessment.

Amanda completed and published research on the subject of Nursing Assistance for the Dental Hygienist in 2011. She completed a tutor’s conversion to Dental therapy in 2012 and became President elect of the British Association of Dental therapists in 2015.

She is an MSC student at King’s College London reading Advanced Minimal Intervention Dentistry.

Amanda presently works part time for Leicester Community dental services as a Therapist, treating anxious children and Special needs patients. She also works for Bupa Dental care in Stamford, Lincolnshire and lectures part time.

Amanda sits on the Bupa Dental Care Clinical advisory board and is a member of the BSDHT and BADT.

Lisa Yao completed her Dental Hygiene Diploma in 2012 and a Bachelor of Science Specializing in Dental Hygiene Degree from the University of Alberta in 2016, while working full time! Lisa has been a Dental Hygienist for over 12 years! Over the years, she has had additional training in periodontics, diode laser, and Guided Biofilm Therapy, completing her GBT Certification in 2022. Lisa enjoys serving the community and sharing her passion for dentistry while providing each patient with the utmost evidence-based care. Her priority is to provide high-quality dental care in a safe and comfortable environment, educating patients on how good oral hygiene is a significant part of their overall health

Yemia White, BSDH, began her career in dentistry as a Certified Dental Assistant. Demonstrating an early passion for patient care—and encouraged by her employer-dentist to advance her education—she earned a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Clayton State University in 2004 With experience in both public and private healthcare settings, Yemia has provided care to patients representing a wide range of cultures, religions, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. She currently practices in a multidisciplinary setting specializing in periodontics and prosthodontics. In her role as a Professional Dental Hygienist, she is dedicated to preventing oral disease and delivering effective treatment when needed. Yemia considers the Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) protocol essential to implant, periodontal, and preventive maintenance. Her strong understanding of the oral–systemic health connection continually motivates her to deliver the highest standard of care to her patients. She is a published author for RDH Magazine and a guest contributor to the blog series How Do You Speak Salivary Diagnostics? Her professional speaking engagements on preventive maintenance for full-arch, fixed implant dentistry include presentations for DentalXP and A Higher Learning, LLC. As a Swiss Dental Academy Trainer, she enjoys supporting dental practices as they adopt the GBT protocol as their standard of care.

Schon während ihrer Ausbildung zur Zahnarzthelferin, die sie im Jahr 2000 erfolgreich abgeschlossen hat, entdeckte sie ihre Leidenschaft für die Prophylaxe. Nach ihrer Aufstiegsfortbildung zur Zahnmedizinischen Prophylaxeassistentin (ZMP) konnte sie über viele Jahre hinweg wertvolle Erfahrungen sammeln. Während ihrer Tätigkeit in einer auf Parodontologie spezialisierten Praxis wurde ihr bewusst, dass sie ihre Expertise auf diesem Gebiet weiter vertiefen und die höchste Ausbildungsstufe erreichen möchte. Dies führte 2018 zum erfolgreichen Abschluss ihrer Aufstiegsfortbildung zur Dentalhygienikerin (DH). Ihr stetiger Wille zur Weiterentwicklung und regelmäßige Fortbildungen führten sie schließlich zur Guided Biofilm Therapie (GBT). Dieses Konzept überzeugte sie so sehr, dass sie ihre Begeisterung und ihr Wissen weitergeben wollte. Seit 2024 ist sie Teil der Swiss Dental Academy. Für sie ist es essenziell, minimal-invasiv und maximal-präventiv zu arbeiten. Die Kombination aus ihrer Erfahrung in der Praxis und ihrer Tätigkeit als Trainerin ermöglicht ihr, ein Höchstmaß an Qualität zu erreichen und weiterzugeben.

Soy odontóloga generalista y he trabajado en el campo dental desde el 2012 desempeñando roles que cubren toda la cadena de valor del servicio de salud dental: desde asistente en sillón, pasando por auxiliar en gabinete, atención al paciente, agente comercial, higienista y finalmente como dentista. Todo esto me ha permitido estar al día con los avances científicos y tecnológicos, a la vez que me ha dotado de una perspectiva global del funcionamiento de las clínicas dentales, lo que aporta dinamismo, profesionalidad y eficacia a mi trabajo.

Persigo el ideal de ejercer una odontología de alta calidad, y además, tengo profunda vocación para la enseñanza, por lo que me encantaría que ese ámbito formara parte del día a día en mi práctica profesional. Soy una apasionada de la periodoncia y la estética dental, y tengo muchas ganas de aprender y crecer.

Allison Arendziak has been practicing dental hygiene in the suburbs of Chicago, IL for 14 years and began her career in dentistry in 2007. In addition to clinical practice, Allison has been a trainer for the Swiss Dental Academy since 2023 where she supports dental professionals across the country in developing their clinical skills in EMS’ Guided Biofilm Therapy technique. Allison believes that the mouth can tell the body’s story and is dedicated to tying the two together to improve the overall well-being of her patients. She believes the combination of remaining a life-long student and being open to change has been key to maintaining joy and passion for her profession. She has a heart for serving her patients and dental colleagues. 

Pam has an impressive and progressive career in dentistry, spanning over four decades. She began her journey in the field as a dental assistant at the age of 16, a role she held for 16 years. In 2001, she became a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). Her commitment to advanced preventative care led her to become licensed as an independent dental hygienist (IPDH) in Maine in 2010. This allowed her to practice in both private settings and her own solo preventive practice. In 2021, Pam established the Searsmont Oral Wellness Center, where she champions her unique approach to optimal preventative care. Her practice has flourished by incorporating cutting-edge technologies like microscopy, laser therapies, salivary diagnostics, and the Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) compass. Patients appreciate her laid-back yet informative style, which educates them while delivering patient-focused care. Beyond her practice, Pam is a certified GBT trainer for EMS, a role that enables her to connect with other forward-thinking professionals across the United States. When she's not traveling for her training work, she enjoys her home, family, and friends in Mid-Coast Maine.
