Michelle Steiner BSDH, RDH has been dedicated to advancing oral health and supporting fellow dental professionals since beginning her career in 1995. After earning her CDA, she completed her dental hygiene degree in 2000 and spent 24 of the last 25 years as the sole RDH in a periodontal practice, where she developed a deep passion for periodontal care, patient relationships, and clinical excellence. She completed her BSDH in 2025 from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with an emphasis in education. Since June 2022, she has served as a U.S. SDA Trainer, and in June 2024, she expanded her role as a Success Coach. In addition to her coaching and training work, she provides dental hygiene services in nursing homes and volunteers her time with Mission of Mercy and her local food pantry, efforts that reflect her strong commitment to giving back and caring for her community. Ha incentrato la sua formazione e la pratica clinica sul counseling per il cambiamento degli stili di vita e l’adozione di tecnologie minimamente invasive. Relatrice a corsi e congressi per igienisti dentali; responsabile Study Club SIdP nel 2018 a Pisa e dal 2020-2022 a Varese; relatrice al corso aggiornamento SIdP nel 2022. Claudia hat sich nach ihrem Abschluss zur Dentalhygienikerin HF im Jahr 1997 kontinuierlich weitergebildet (Ausbildung Terminalanästhesie, dipl. med. Praxisleiterin und viele mehr). Ihr besonderes Interesse gilt der Wissensvermittlung in der Prophylaxe, einem Bereich, den sie als äußerst wichtig erachtet. Sie verfolgt die Entwicklung neuer Techniken und Methoden, um ihre Kenntnisse stets auf dem neuesten Stand zu halten und andere Fachkräfte in diesem Bereich zu inspirieren.

Seit 2017 ist Claudia eine begeisterte Anwenderin der Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), einem evidenzbasierten 8 Schritte GBT Behandlungs Protokoll. Ihre Leidenschaft für diese Technik hat sie dazu motiviert, als Trainerin für die SDA zu arbeiten. Als Trainerin gibt sie ihr umfangreiches und langjähriges Wissen mit viel Engagement und Begeisterung an die Anwender der GBT weiter. Claudia legt großen Wert darauf, dass die Teilnehmer nicht nur theoretische Kenntnisse erwerben, sondern auch praktische Fähigkeiten entwickeln, um die GBT effektiv in ihrer täglichen Arbeit anzuwenden.

Im Jahr 2023 hat Claudia den Schritt in die Selbstständigkeit gewagt und eine Firma übernommen, die ein breites Spektrum an Fort- und Weiterbildungen im dentalen Bereich anbietet. Mit ihrer Erfahrung und ihrem Fachwissen möchte sie anderen Fachleuten in der Zahnmedizin helfen, ihre Fähigkeiten zu verbessern und die neuesten Entwicklungen in der Prophylaxe zu integrieren. Erika Spring is a pioneering force in Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) education, bringing over 35 years of dental industry experience and 27 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist.  Since 2019, she served as an SDA Trainer and Academic Integration Consultant, currently she is the US GBT Education Manager. Spring's most significant achievement came at Coastal Carolina Community College, where she revolutionized dental hygiene education by integrating GBT into the curriculum. Under her leadership, the program graduated the first GBT-certified students in 2021 and became the first academic institution to achieve GBT certification in the United States in 2022—a historic milestone establishing the gold standard for modern dental hygiene education. Her academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene. She maintains faculty experience from Laramie County Community College and clinical expertise through work with GBT practices, East Carolina University, and expert periodontists. As a certified DISC Behavioral Consultant, she enhances team dynamics and educational outcomes. Spring continues advancing the GBT mission by leading the US training team, developing educational strategies, and mentoring dental professionals nationwide. Her mission centers on preparing tomorrow's dental professionals with today's innovations, fundamentally reshaping dental hygiene practice and elevating patient wellness standards across the profession.
