Dr. Saskia Deciu studierte Zahnmedizin in Wien und spezialisierte sich früh auf moderne kieferorthopädische Behandlungskonzepte. Mit einem kieferorthopädischen Fortbildungsdiplom vertiefte sie ihre Expertise in der Zahn- und Kieferregulierung und war zudem im Universitätsdienst in der klinischen Ausbildung tätig. Ihr fachlicher Schwerpunkt liegt in der Aligner-Therapie sowie in der digital gestützten Behandlungsplanung im Sinne der Guided Dentistry. Als ehemalige klinische Spezialistin für Ormco Spark und Damon Ultima verbindet sie fundierte biomechanische Kenntnisse mit innovativen digitalen Workflows und unterstützt Kolleginnen und Kollegen sowohl in der Praxis als auch in Fortbildungen. Ihr besonderes Interesse gilt der digitalen Zahnmedizin, CAD/CAM-Technologien und einer strukturierten, präzisen Therapieplanung, die klinische Sicherheit mit effizienter Umsetzung im Praxisalltag verbindet. Abseits der Praxis widmet sie sich mit ebenso viel Leidenschaft dem Backen – ihr selbstgemachtes Bananenbrot hat unter Kolleginnen und Kollegen beinahe Kultstatus.

Faye Donald is a registered dental hygienist currently practicing Guided Biofilm Therapy in the UK.

After graduating from Leeds University in 2001, she went on to complete the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills. Faye received national award recognition in 2013 when she was crowned "Best Hygienist" at the DH&T National Industry Awards, in 2015 when she was crowned "UK’s Dental Hygienist of The Year" and in 2017 when she was again crowned winner of "UK's best hygienist" at the National Oral Health Awards. Faye is also chairperson for the North East BSDHT (British Society for Dental Hygiene and Therapy) where she is actively involved in supporting her peers and driving forwards standards within the dental industry. Faye underwent her training at the Swiss Dental Academy to become a certified SDA trainer in 2016 and has since delivered more than 50 GBT courses to audiences both nationally and internationally on the role of AIRFLOW® and Guided Biofilm Therapy in dental prophylaxis.

Allison Arendziak has been practicing dental hygiene in the suburbs of Chicago, IL for 14 years and began her career in dentistry in 2007. In addition to clinical practice, Allison has been a trainer for the Swiss Dental Academy since 2023 where she supports dental professionals across the country in developing their clinical skills in EMS’ Guided Biofilm Therapy technique. Allison believes that the mouth can tell the body’s story and is dedicated to tying the two together to improve the overall well-being of her patients. She believes the combination of remaining a life-long student and being open to change has been key to maintaining joy and passion for her profession. She has a heart for serving her patients and dental colleagues. 

Binta Visser ist eine engagierte und erfahrene Fachkraft im Bereich der Zahnmedizin, die seit 2020 die SDA mit ihrem fundierten Wissen und ihren Fähigkeiten unterstützt. Ihre Reise in die Welt der Zahnmedizin begann 2011, als sie während ihrer Ausbildung zur Zahnmedizinischen Fachangestellten (ZFA) einen Kurs der SDA besuchte. Begeistert von den neuen Erkenntnissen und dem erlangten Wissen entschied sie sich, ebenfalls für die SDA tätig zu werden.

Nach dem Abschluss ihrer Ausbildung zur ZFA erweiterte Binta ihre Qualifikationen durch eine Weiterbildung zur Zahnmedizinischen Prophylaxeassistentin (ZMP) und absolvierte anschließend den Bachelor-Studiengang in Dentalhygiene und Präventionsmanagement. Ihre umfassende Ausbildung und ihr Engagement für die Zahnmedizin machen sie zu einer wertvollen Ressource für Praxiskurse.

Binta hat in mehreren Zahnarztpraxen mit unterschiedlichen Schwerpunkten, darunter Kinderzahnheilkunde, Ästhetik und Oralchirurgie, gearbeitet. Diese vielfältige Erfahrung ermöglicht es ihr, die Praxiskurse besonders kompetent zu betreuen und auf die individuellen Bedürfnisse der Teilnehmer einzugehen.

Ein besonderes Augenmerk legt Binta auf die Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), die nicht nur evidenzbasiert und minimalinvasiv ist, sondern auch ein maximal präventives Behandlungskonzept ist. Claudia hat sich nach ihrem Abschluss zur Dentalhygienikerin HF im Jahr 1997 kontinuierlich weitergebildet (Ausbildung Terminalanästhesie, dipl. med. Praxisleiterin und viele mehr). Ihr besonderes Interesse gilt der Wissensvermittlung in der Prophylaxe, einem Bereich, den sie als äußerst wichtig erachtet. Sie verfolgt die Entwicklung neuer Techniken und Methoden, um ihre Kenntnisse stets auf dem neuesten Stand zu halten und andere Fachkräfte in diesem Bereich zu inspirieren.

Seit 2017 ist Claudia eine begeisterte Anwenderin der Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT), einem evidenzbasierten 8 Schritte GBT Behandlungs Protokoll. Ihre Leidenschaft für diese Technik hat sie dazu motiviert, als Trainerin für die SDA zu arbeiten. Als Trainerin gibt sie ihr umfangreiches und langjähriges Wissen mit viel Engagement und Begeisterung an die Anwender der GBT weiter. Claudia legt großen Wert darauf, dass die Teilnehmer nicht nur theoretische Kenntnisse erwerben, sondern auch praktische Fähigkeiten entwickeln, um die GBT effektiv in ihrer täglichen Arbeit anzuwenden.

Im Jahr 2023 hat Claudia den Schritt in die Selbstständigkeit gewagt und eine Firma übernommen, die ein breites Spektrum an Fort- und Weiterbildungen im dentalen Bereich anbietet. ayyaba Fiaz is a highly accomplished dental hygienist and community leader. A 2008 graduate of Cégep John Abbott College, she earned the Procter & Gamble Community Dental Hygiene Award and Excellence in Restorative Dentistry Award. Tayyaba also holds a B.Sc. degree and has extensive experience as an RDH in Ontario and Quebec. She currently works as a clinician and hygiene coordinator in a general dental practice, leading a team of eight RDHs. As a pioneer in technology, she introduced Airflow Master Prophylaxis and Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) at her clinic, improving appointment efficiency and patient satisfaction. In addition, she owns a mobile dental hygiene practice, launched in 2021, offering personalized care directly to clients. Tayyaba’s commitment to community care is evident in her organization of large-scale dental outreach clinics across Quebec, with over 55 volunteers. These initiatives have garnered significant media attention. She also serves as an elected Director for the Canadian Dental Hygienists Association (CDHA) and a representative for the International Federation of Dental Hygienists (IFDH). Tayyaba is an instructor at Oulton College's Faculty of Dental Hygiene. Outside her professional responsibilities, Tayyaba enjoys spending time with her family, listening to music, and taking long walks on sunny days.

Mein Name ist Janine Schröter. Ich bin eine erfahrene und leidenschaftliche Dentalhygienikerin, die ihre Berufung zum Beruf gemacht hat.

Ich arbeite in einer Zahnarztpraxis im Herzen von München. Nach meiner Ausbildung zur Zahnmedizinischen Fachangestellten entwickelte ich schnell die Leidenschaft für die Prophylaxe. Zahlreiche Patienten haben mich während meiner praktischen Tätigkeit motiviert und inspiriert, was man mit einer zielgerichteten und individuellen Mundhygieneinstruktion und -therapie erreichen kann. Um mein Spektrum in den Bereichen der Prophylaxe und Parodontologie zu erweitern, habe ich die Qualifikationen „Zahnmedizinische Fachassistentin“ und „Dentalhygienikerin“ erworben.

Seit Beginn meiner zahnmedizinischen Laufbahn arbeite ich mit den Geräten der Firma EMS. Im Jahr 2018 habe ich die Guided Biofilm Therapy in unserer Praxis etabliert und bin so auf die Swiss Dental Academy aufmerksam geworden. Seit 2019 bin ich nun Teil des SDA-Teams und stolz darauf mein Wissen, meine langjährigen Erfahrungen und meine Begeisterung für die Guided Biofilm Therapy weitergeben zu dürfen.
