Starting her career as a dental assistant, she quickly advanced to an expanded duties dental assistant after nine years, before pursuing her degree in dental hygiene. Fueled by a strong commitment to combating periodontal disease and a desire to educate patients, Patricia has consistently pushed herself to excel. In 2016, her office embraced cutting-edge technology by acquiring the Prophylaxis Master, allowing her to enhance patient care and outcomes. By 2022, Patricia's expertise and enthusiasm led her to join EMS as an SDA trainer. There, she became a success coach for the Northeast region of the USA, inspiring others with her knowledge and experience. Recently, she completed the Koi's Hygiene Program, further solidifying her commitment to advancing dental hygiene practices. Patricia is not just a professional; she is a passionate advocate for the importance of dental hygiene, dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of her patients and colleagues alike.

Michelle Steiner BSDH, RDH has been dedicated to advancing oral health and supporting fellow dental professionals since beginning her career in 1995. After earning her CDA, she completed her dental hygiene degree in 2000 and spent 24 of the last 25 years as the sole RDH in a periodontal practice, where she developed a deep passion for periodontal care, patient relationships, and clinical excellence. She completed her BSDH in 2025 from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with an emphasis in education. Since June 2022, she has served as a U.S. SDA Trainer, and in June 2024, she expanded her role as a Success Coach. In addition to her coaching and training work, she provides dental hygiene services in nursing homes and volunteers her time with Mission of Mercy and her local food pantry, efforts that reflect her strong commitment to giving back and caring for her community. Today, she loves empowering clinicians to confidently implement GBT and helping dental teams grow through supportive, real-world training

Leslie Ramsey, RDH, is a passionate and experienced dental hygienist with a strong commitment to advancing clinical excellence and patient care through education. As a GBT (Guided Biofilm Therapy) Education Specialist and lead of the United States Success Coaches, Leslie brings deep expertise in preventive dentistry, biofilm management, and minimally invasive hygiene protocols. With nearly 8,000 GBT treatments with her own patients in clinical practice, Leslie has consistently prioritized patient-centered care and the integration of evidence-based techniques. Leonora Costello is a licensed dental hygienist, educator, and Master of Healthcare Administration candidate dedicated to advancing oral health through innovation, equity, and strategic collaboration. With both an associate and bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene, she blends clinical expertise with a broader public health perspective to drive meaningful change in patient care and professional education. Leonora serves as a Swiss Dental Academy Trainer with EMS Dental, where she partners with clinicians and academic institutions nationwide to implement Guided Biofilm Therapy using the AirFlow Prophylaxis Master device. In addition to her training and consulting work, she provides clinical care at East Carolina University, working directly with underserved populations to reduce disparities and improve access to preventive services.  Currently pursuing her MHA, Leonora is focused on healthcare leadership, process innovation, and sustainable improvements in dental education. Kevin Ohashi Lopez, RDH, BSDH, MHA is a nationally recognized dental hygienist, educator, and speaker known for advancing modern, evidence based preventive care. Sarah Crow started in the dental industry in 2004. She has earned numerous awards throughout her education and career as a Dental Hygienist. To name a few, Sarah was voted the 2021 “Massachusetts Dental Society, Hygienist of the Year.” And was most recently voted the 2024 “Research Hygienist of The Year” by the Massachusetts Dental Hygienists’ Association. Sarah is a recent Past-President, of The Massachusetts Dental Hygienists’ Association. She is also a Senior Executive Consultant for Cellerant Consulting Group and a United States Trainer for The Swiss Dental Academy, in the field of Guided Biofilm Therapy with EMS Dental. She presents educational content both virtually and in-person, to dental professionals across the country. Sarah enjoys working chairside with patients in Salem, MA where she is given the opportunity to exhibit her passion for helping others to improve their oral and overall health.

Pam has an impressive and progressive career in dentistry, spanning over four decades. She began her journey in the field as a dental assistant at the age of 16, a role she held for 16 years. In 2001, she became a Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH). Her commitment to advanced preventative care led her to become licensed as an independent dental hygienist (IPDH) in Maine in 2010. This allowed her to practice in both private settings and her own solo preventive practice. In 2021, Pam established the Searsmont Oral Wellness Center, where she champions her unique approach to optimal preventative care. Her practice has flourished by incorporating cutting-edge technologies like microscopy, laser therapies, salivary diagnostics, and the Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) compass. Patients appreciate her laid-back yet informative style, which educates them while delivering patient-focused care. Beyond her practice, Pam is a certified GBT trainer for EMS, a role that enables her to connect with other forward-thinking professionals across the United States. When she's not traveling for her training work, she enjoys her home, family, and friends in Mid-Coast Maine.

Erika Spring is a pioneering force in Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) education, bringing over 35 years of dental industry experience and 27 years as a Registered Dental Hygienist.  Since 2019, she served as an SDA Trainer and Academic Integration Consultant, currently she is the US GBT Education Manager. Spring's most significant achievement came at Coastal Carolina Community College, where she revolutionized dental hygiene education by integrating GBT into the curriculum. Under her leadership, the program graduated the first GBT-certified students in 2021 and became the first academic institution to achieve GBT certification in the United States in 2022—a historic milestone establishing the gold standard for modern dental hygiene education. Her academic credentials include a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor's Degree in Dental Hygiene. She maintains faculty experience from Laramie County Community College and clinical expertise through work with GBT practices, East Carolina University, and expert periodontists. As a certified DISC Behavioral Consultant, she enhances team dynamics and educational outcomes. Spring continues advancing the GBT mission by leading the US training team, developing educational strategies, and mentoring dental professionals nationwide. Her mission centers on preparing tomorrow's dental professionals with today's innovations, fundamentally reshaping dental hygiene practice and elevating patient wellness standards across the profession.

Janis Spiliadis is an international clinician with over 35 years experience practicing in Switzerland, Greece, Saudi Arabia and the United States. Janis received her degree in dental hygiene from Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach County Florida. In 2007 she obtained her independent hygiene certification allowing her to open her own practice in Switzerland, where she practiced for 25 years. Janis is also served as a member of the Straumann hygiene advisory board and is it KOL for several dental companies.Fluent in French Janis has presented worldwide on the effects of biofilm on systemic health.

Allison Arendziak has been practicing dental hygiene in the suburbs of Chicago, IL for 14 years and began her career in dentistry in 2007. In addition to clinical practice, Allison has been a trainer for the Swiss Dental Academy since 2023 where she supports dental professionals across the country in developing their clinical skills in EMS’ Guided Biofilm Therapy technique. Allison believes that the mouth can tell the body’s story and is dedicated to tying the two together to improve the overall well-being of her patients. She believes the combination of remaining a life-long student and being open to change has been key to maintaining joy and passion for her profession. She has a heart for serving her patients and dental colleagues. 

Yemia White, BSDH, began her career in dentistry as a Certified Dental Assistant. Demonstrating an early passion for patient care—and encouraged by her employer-dentist to advance her education—she earned a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Clayton State University in 2004 With experience in both public and private healthcare settings, Yemia has provided care to patients representing a wide range of cultures, religions, ethnicities, and socioeconomic backgrounds. She currently practices in a multidisciplinary setting specializing in periodontics and prosthodontics. In her role as a Professional Dental Hygienist, she is dedicated to preventing oral disease and delivering effective treatment when needed. Yemia considers the Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) protocol essential to implant, periodontal, and preventive maintenance. Her strong understanding of the oral–systemic health connection continually motivates her to deliver the highest standard of care to her patients. She is a published author for RDH Magazine and a guest contributor to the blog series How Do You Speak Salivary Diagnostics? Her professional speaking engagements on preventive maintenance for full-arch, fixed implant dentistry include presentations for DentalXP and A Higher Learning, LLC. Paula Chebat, BSDH, RDHAP, is an Alternative Practice Hygienist, educator, and EMS GBT Trainer with nearly 20 years of experience in dentistry. Her background spans dental assisting, front office management, and clinical dental hygiene, giving her a uniquely comprehensive perspective on patient care and practice operations. Paula owns and operates her own dental hygiene practice, where she provides accessible preventive care and champions evidence-based protocols that elevate the patient experience. She also serves in legislative and advocacy roles that support and advance the dental hygiene profession.
