TRAINING COURSES

The Swiss Dental Academy – SDA – is headquartered in Switzerland and is the EMS educational platform developing dental prophylaxis programs worldwide, while also supporting and promoting the Guided Biofilm Therapy Method.
SDA training courses are organized either by EMS headquarters or its affiliates.

HOW TO BOOK

Please consult the global planning of courses on the SDA website to select your course(s) of interest.

BOOKING CONFIRMATION

Once your booking has been processed, the SDA will confirm receipt of your registration by e-mail and send you separately the related proof of payment.
Your place is guaranteed once payment has been received.

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT

Conditions of payment
Payments in all currencies are accepted.
All major credit cards including Visa, Visa Electron and Mastercard are accepted through Stripe.

Payment can be made by credit card through Stripe.

FEES

Registration fees are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include all relevant course materials, lunch and refreshments.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

Notification of cancellation of registration must be sent in writing to SDA Canada by e-mail at: sdacanada@ems-na.com

Cancellations of online registrations received up to 7 days prior to the course: 100% refund. The amount of the refund will be sent to you in the currency of your initial payment within the 30 days following your request for cancellation.

Cancellations of online registrations received within the 7 days prior to the course and no show on the day of the course: no refund.

Unfortunately, very unlikely situations cannot be excluded that could make it necessary to cancel an SDA course, or postpone it to another date. In any case, the SDA cannot be held liable for (i) date, (ii) location, (iii) chairman, (iv) faculty, (v) content, (vi) performance and (vii) execution of a SDA course.
In case of lack of attendance or (personal) incapability of the chairman or a faculty member, SDA reserves the right to cancel or postpone an SDA course, or move a SDA course to another location.

In case of cancelling an SDA course due to reasons SDA is responsible for, prepaid registration fees will be refunded but any other claims against SDA, the chairman and the faculty members of the SDA course are excluded. In particular, SDA, the chairman and the faculty members of the SDA course are not liable and responsible for any costs and expenses that may occur when canceling or postponing an SDA course, or moving an SDA course to another location. SDA is only liable and responsible for damage caused deliberately or through gross negligence. SDA is not liable and responsible for any items lost during the SDA course.

PHOTOGRAPHS

Photographs will be taken during the course for promotional and educational purposes. The photographs may be used for promotional purposes and online materials (advertising, newsletters, websites). They may be kept for an unlimited period and may not be used immediately.

PRIVACY AND PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION

When you register for a course (or courses), E.M.S. Electro Medical Systems S.A., with its registered office at Ch. De la Vuarpillière 31, CH-1260 Nyon, collects and uses your personal information for the purposes of managing your registration(s), communicating relevant information, and ensuring appropriate follow-up.

Your personal information is collected, used, and stored in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). By registering, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information for these purposes.

Your information may be stored or processed outside of Canada, including in Switzerland, and will be protected with appropriate safeguards to ensure a comparable level of protection as required under PIPEDA.

We will not send you newsletters or marketing e-mail communications unless you have subscribed to this service during course(s) registration(s). Please refer to SDA/E.M.S.‘s Privacy Policy to have more information on how E.M.S. will use your personal data or contact privacy@ems-ch.com if you have any other question.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS CLAUSE

All intellectual property rights in or arising out of or in connection with the training including any associated training materials shall be owned by EMS. No reproductions, scans or copies (wholly or in part) shall be made of the training material without prior written consent of EMS.

APPLICABLE LAW JURISDICTION

These general sales conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of a province or territory of Canada, as applicable, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of a competent jurisdiction within Canada for the resolution of any disputes arising out of or in connection with these conditions.
